It's Official. Cardinals flock to KTRS. After a 52 year long history of great broadcasts, the St. Louis Cardinals will leave KMOX for KTRS now that the season is over. Fan reaction varies but most everyone acknowledges that it is the changing of an era as the Redbirds seek a new tradition with a new station. Because they work for the Cards directly and not KMOX, the broadcast team of Mike Shannon and Wayne Hagin will still do the games when the move occurs in 2006. Will this move hurt the large fan base around the country that is used to the listening to 1120 on the AM dail and was nurtured into existence with the gigantic KMOX signal? In this new era with satellite radio and internet broadcasts does signal strength matter anymore?
